“AI+ Information Literacy Competition” Campus Competition Launched! Dual Tracks for Undergraduates and Graduate Students, Direct Path to Provincial Competition.

  In order to thoroughly implement the strategic deployment for building a strong education nation, a strong science and technology nation, and a strong talent nation, fully implement the requirements of the “AI + Education” Action Plan, and strive to enhance university students’ information literacy, data literacy, and AI application capabilities in the era of artificial intelligence, in accordance with the spirit of the “Notice on Holding the 2026 University Student ‘AI + Information Literacy’ Competition”, the Guangdong Provincial Steering Committee for Library and Information Work in Higher Education Institutions (hereinafter referred to as the “Steering Committee”) will host the Guangdong regional competition of the 2026 University Student “AI + Information Literacy” Competition (Undergraduate and Graduate Tracks). The relevant matters regarding the Southern Medical University selection competition are hereby notified as follows:

Competition Format:

| Tracks | The competition is open to all university students in the province, with two tracks: undergraduate and graduate.

| Stages | The competition is divided into three stages: school selection competition, provincial competition, and league competition.

1. School Selection Competition: Students participate individually, and all participants answer questions on the same online platform. This stage assesses students’ knowledge reserve of AI literacy and information literacy, as well as their learning and inquiry abilities.

2. Provincial Competition: Participation is in teams of three (3) members, comprising an elimination round and a final round. This stage assesses students’ teamwork awareness, autonomous learning ability, ability to creatively solve problems based on information, and on-the-spot adaptability.

3. League Competition: Outstanding participating teams will be selected from the first-prize winners of the provincial competition to represent Guangdong Province in the league (the league is planned to be held offline at Chongqing University, employing “extreme-speed competition” and “on-site defense” formats to assess students’ knowledge reserve of AI literacy and information literacy, summary and reflection abilities, and on-the-spot adaptability, among other comprehensive competencies).

 

Competition Schedule:

 01 Student Registration (July 3 — September 17)

Target: The competition is open to all university students in the province, with two tracks: undergraduate and graduate.

02 School Selection Competition

1. Individual Student Participation (September 19 — September 21)

Method: Competition official website https://csc.xxsuyang.com/

Questions are randomly drawn through the competition system and answered online.

Tracks: Divided into two tracks: undergraduate and graduate.

2. Provincial Competition Team Formation and Registration (September 22 — October 11)

Rules: Based on school competition results, the library will assist advancing students in forming provincial competition teams (3 members per team).

Support: The organizing committee will provide online thematic training (for both instructors and students).

03 Guangdong Provincial Competition

Time: October 17 — November 2

 

Format:

Elimination Round: Online team competition (individual + team dual-stage challenges)

Final Round: Submit open-themed works + presentation videos

Total Score Calculation: Provincial final total score = elimination round score × 30% + final round work score × 70%.

 04 League Competition

Time: November 26 — 27

Location: Chongqing University (offline)

Qualification: Teams participating in the offline league will be recommended from the first-prize winning teams of the Guangdong Provincial Competition on a merit basis.

 

Competition Environment:

Students may answer questions in any location with a stable network connection and access to the relevant databases (both computer and mobile terminals are supported; however, as the competition involves practical questions such as information retrieval, answering on a computer is recommended).

 

School Competition Awards:This competition is divided into undergraduate and graduate tracks, each offering 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and several participation awards.

 

Note: A score of ≥85 points is required to qualify for the first, second, or third prize awards.
