　　The JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) Database is the world's first video journal. It was officially launched in October 2006 and is the first journal dedicated to presenting research processes and outcomes in biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, and other disciplines through video. It is also the world's first 100% peer-reviewed video database indexed by PubMed/MEDLINE, SCI, Scopus, ChemAbstracts, and SciFinder.

　　In 2023, the JoVE video journal published 13 subject collections, comprising nearly 18,000+ experiment videos and over 16,000 articles, covering fields such as biology, medicine, physics, chemistry, and environmental science. Among these, experiment videos in the life sciences have attracted widespread attention from researchers and scholars. The experiment videos originate from laboratories at world-renowned universities and academic research institutions, including Harvard University, MIT, Stanford University, Yale University, UC Berkeley, and Columbia University.

　　The most distinctive feature of the JoVE video journal is its integration of the advantages of multiple media, using video technology to make knowledge transfer more vivid and intuitive. Compared with traditional paper journals that carry text and static images, JoVE uses video technology to clearly and intuitively present the multifaceted and complex details of life science experiments.

　　JoVE publishes one issue per month, with approximately 70 videos per issue (each video accompanied by an article), and can be traced back to 2006. Videos are updated daily, ensuring that users can access the latest experimental results and stay informed of the latest developments in their disciplines.
